Elementor Pro’s Form widget only sends an email if two things are true: the form has a correctly configured Email action, and your WordPress site can actually deliver email. Most “Elementor form not sending email” problems come down to one of those two.
For causes that apply to every form plugin, see Contact form not sending email? Why it happens and how to fix it.
1. Check the Actions After Submit
Edit the page with Elementor, select the form, and open Actions After Submit. The list must include Email. If it was removed, the form submits but never sends anything. While you are there, add Collect Submissions so every message is also saved under Elementor → Submissions.
2. Check the Email action’s settings
Open the Email section that appears below the actions:
- To: the address that should receive submissions. Fix typos and old addresses.
- From Email: an address on your own domain, such as
[email protected]. Do not use the visitor’s email here. - Reply-To: choose the form’s Email field, so pressing Reply writes back to the visitor.
- Message: keep the
[all-fields]shortcode unless you built your own message.
Why the From address matters so much is covered in why your form must not send from the visitor’s email.
Using Email 2 for an auto-reply to the visitor? It has its own To, From and Reply-To settings. Check them separately.
3. Check the submission arrived
Look in Elementor → Submissions. If the entry is there, the form works and the email step is failing. If the visitor saw an error message instead of the success message, check whether a security or cache plugin is blocking the form’s background request, and test the form in a private browser window.
4. Test whether WordPress can send email
Request a password reset for a test user. If that email also never arrives, WordPress cannot send mail. Out of the box it uses the server’s PHP mail function, which hosts often block or limit and which sends without the authentication Gmail and Outlook now expect.
Send through an authenticated mail service instead: see how to fix WordPress not sending email or send Elementor form email through SecureSMTP.
5. Sent, but not in your inbox
Then your mail provider filtered it:
With SecureSMTP, Elementor form emails are DKIM-signed, sent from an authenticated address, and logged as delivered or bounced, so you can see straight away what happened to each one.
Frequently asked questions
Why does my Elementor form say it was sent but no email arrives?
The success message only means Elementor accepted the submission. If the Email action is missing, points at the wrong address, or WordPress cannot deliver the email, the visitor still sees the success message.
Where can I see Elementor form submissions?
Under Elementor → Submissions, as long as the form has the Collect Submissions action. Add it so you never lose a message even when email fails.
Does the free version of Elementor include the Form widget?
No. The Form widget and its Email action are part of Elementor Pro.
